Assuming you are using windows XP use the Policy to hide the C: drive =
and My Computer and then just put a shortcut for Windows Explorer on the =
desktop. Also look up the Microsoft Shared computing kit for help with =
lockdowns and policies. XP allows you to drag and drop copy files to a =
CD writable drive within explorer.

Subject: [OPLINTECH] CD writers on Public computers
I'm sure this issue has been brought up in the past so I apologize. We =
would like to make CD writers available on Public computers. Our =
concern is making them available without compromising computer security. =
I don't want to give the public account access to the C drive if I =
don't have to. Currently, we have Windows 2000 and we are using Active =
directory settings to button down on what the public has access to. The =
new computers will be running Windows XP. If anyone out there has =
implemented this, how did you go about doing so?

Thanks,
