Subject: Calls from Amerinet

A number of Ohio public libraries have recently been 
contacted by a company called Amerinet, which claims to 
offer a variety of services, including network monitoring.

These are cold sales calls, and OPLIN has not provided 
Amerinet with any information about Ohio public 
libraries or the OPLIN network.

As a reminder, top-level network monitoring is a 
service that OPLIN provides to libraries 
free-of-charge. OPLIN also provides bandwidth
studies and monitors T-1 utilization to make sure that 
libraries have the appropriate amount of bandwidth for 
their buildings.  Network consulting is also provided 
on an as-needed basis - our goal is to assist you in
providing high-quality Internet services to your patrons.
