Office of Information Technology Customer Update – December 18, 2006

 

 

Outage - State of Ohio Computer Center

 

Sunday, December 17, 2006 at approximately 1:45am

 

The State of Ohio Computer Center experienced a power outage at approximately 1:45am on Sunday, December 17, 2006.  The majority of the equipment affected by this outage was restored by 5:30am.  Please contact the Ohio Customer Service & Security Center at 644-0701 or 800-644-0701 if you have any questions regarding the outage.

 

 

Scheduled Maintenance:

 

When: Every Tuesday

 

Time: 3:00 AM to 6:00 AM

 

December 19

 

OIT engineers will install two new routers BBBCS5 and BBBCS6 (Business Continuity Site) and connect them to the Columbus Gigabit Ethernet Core.   No outage is expected.

 

OIT engineers plan to turn on OSPF Authentication on a few backbone routers to meet IRS audit requirements.   We don't expect a noticeable outage.

 

 

Monthly Firewall Maintenance:

 

When: Third Tuesday of every Month

 

Next Scheduled Maintenance: December 19, 2006

 

Time: 3:00 AM to 6:00 AM.

 

 

Ohio Customer Service & Security Center - After Hour Service Escalation Procedure

 

Effective immediately, the following after hour (5:00pm – 7:00am) escalation list should be utilized when service related matters need to be brought to the attention of UNS-NA management.

 

Customers should wait a minimum of 30 minutes before attempts are made to contact the next level of support
