Office of Information Technology Customer Update - January 13, 2006
Scheduled Maintenance:
When: Every Tuesday
Time: 3:00 AM to 6:00 AM.
January 17 - OIT engineers will make configuration changes to our
secondary Internet Border Router. No outage is expected.
January 24 - OIT engineers will be moving the OIT Enterprise Environment
connection from the existing core to the new Columbus Core Network.
Connectivity to all services provided by OIT Enterprise Computing
(Mainframe Services, Database Services, Unix Services, Windows
Services), OIT Enterprise Shared Services and OIT Secure Hosting
Services will be interrupted.
January 17, 24 - OIT engineers will be migrating customers to the new
Columbus Core Network. These moves will be coordinated with the
customers by their customer engineers.
During the migration to the new Columbus Core Network, customer
engineers are planning to work with each agency on current and future
bandwidth requirements.
Completed Maintenance:
VPN Head End move to BBSOC5
TAX move to BBSOCC
Wall1 Firewall Move
ATMSOCC Upgrade
Reconfigure Clocking on Various ATM Switches
DNS NS1 and NS4 Moves
Monthly Firewall Maintenance:
When: Third Tuesday of every Month
Next Scheduled Maintenance: January 17, 2006
Time: 3:00 AM to 6:00 AM.
The Network Security Group will be performing firewall maintenance. Less
than three minute outages are expected during the maintenance window.
