Office of Information Technology Customer Update - June 23, 2006
Scheduled Maintenance:
When: Every Tuesday
Time: 3:00 AM to 6:00 AM
June 27, 2006
OIT engineers will reconfigure routing for Vern Riffe and Rhodes State
Office Tower Enterprise Environment customers. This will route traffic
over the new connections to the Columbus Core Network (which were
installed last week).
Connectivity may be interrupted for the following customers:
Vern Riffe Center Customers: OIT Enterprise Shared Services
Rhodes Tower Customers: OIT Enterprise Computing (Unix,
Windows, DR environment)
OIT engineers will be installing port cards in the ATM switches at SOCC.
Reboot of ATM switches isn't expected but if required will interrupt
connectivity (1/2 hour or less) to the following customers:
Lottery
ATM Video Customers
OIT engineers will be installing port cards in redundant routers within
the VPN head end. No outage is expected.
The OIT POP at eTech's North Star location will be turned down.
Saturday, June 24, 2006 9 AM to 1 PM
Move T1s to a new router. This will involve a 5-15 minute outage for
each of the following customers:
BBCLE, Cosmetology, EXPO, OAC-CO, OHS-CO, OIC, OPF(aka-PFDPF), OTTA,
OVH, Elections-Broad, BES-Cleve13-JTPA, MH-Medina,
OPLIN-BarbertonHospital, ODOT-Hilltop, MH-FranklinCty, MH-AshlandCty,
BES-ColumbusPIC-JTPA, MH-CuyahogaCty, MH-MontgomeryCtyRec,
MH-HamiltonCty, MH-StarkCty, MH-SummitCty, MH-LucasCtyADAS,
AOS-AshtabulaCty, BES-Lebanon1stop.
Friday, June 30, 2006 - Midnight
The ATM network between eTech North Star, Rhodes State Office Tower and
the State of Ohio Computer Center will be turned down.
Completed Maintenance:
OIT engineers migrated customers to the new Columbus Core Network.
OIT engineers moved Vern Riffe Center and Rhodes State Office Tower OIT
Enterprise Environment customers to the Columbus Core Network.
OIT engineers removed port cards in ATM switches at the Borden Building
and OET.
OIT engineers made BGP configuration changes between OIT and eTech
network.
OIT engineers made configuration changes to the DAS connection at the
Department of Education, 25 South Front Street.
Monthly Firewall Maintenance:
When: Third Tuesday of every Month
Next Scheduled Maintenance: July 18, 2006
Time: 3:00 AM to 6:00 AM.
The Network Security Group will be performing firewall maintenance.
Less than three minute outages are expected during the maintenance
window. Please contact the Ohio Customer Service and Security Center at
614-644-0701 if you have any questions or concerns.
Columbus Core GE Migration Update:
As of Friday, June 23, we have migrated 95% (98% at SOCC, 92% at Rhodes)
of the customer connections to the new Columbus Core Network.
