We leave them open and use Altiris protect on our systems. (sort of like goback) A logoff and back in resets the browser settings to the profile that we initially set up.

Subject: [OPLINTECH] Secure Opera and Firefox
Gurus...
How secure are your "alternate" browsers and open-source applications?
We're running Opera and Firefox (in addition to IE) on our public computers and would like to make them more secure. Has anyone used a lock down tool? How do you manage the security for these applications at your library?
Thanks!
Steve
