Boy this would be difficult with those types of services because they
usually require that the device have an association with the PC. You
would have to allow the installation of device drivers for users to
install there devices as a guest and somehow prevent them from setting
it as a default device. Then you would also have to set up the PC to
wipe out all of their settings that get stored when they use these type
of sites (reboot with a product like deep freeze or something) after
every patron use to reset it back to the beginning.  It is a daunting
task at best.

Hello All,

 

I am looking into having download stations for music, games, etc. So
far, we will have one that will allow patrons to download from Overdrive
but I am wondering if anyone has implemented a download station with
other websites like iTunes or Rhapsody? If so, what security measures
have you implemented? Do you employ a reservation system with this
station or is it standalone? Any information is appreciated.
