Here's what I received Steven,

Dear Dan,
You may have seen our recent messages and presentations about "The Next
WebJunction". Since last winter, we've been working hard with developers,
designers, consultants, usability testers, and our partners to get the site
ready for a late summer launch. This past month, we've been working on a
private (invitation-only) beta site, tweaking the features and making sure
the content and courses are ready for our larger community audience. The
result is an entirely new platform that includes new courses, easier
contribution, and new ways to connect with library colleagues.
Over the weekend, we fully migrated all of our existing content,
discussions, and members, along with all of our new features, to the new
platform. We're inviting current WJ members to visit the new site, sign in,
and take it for a spin before we publicly announce the new platform later
this month.
You'll find a short video presentation on the new homepage that reviews
highlights of the new platform and prompts you to sign in and update your
profile. This is the first step towards taking advantage of the new features
and functionalities. Some of the new features:
* New course catalog offers hundreds of new courses from WebJunction,
LE at D, and SkillSoft.
* My WebJunction tab on the main page creates a more personalized
experience. Sign in to see My WebJunction and start to collect all your
bookmarks, contributions, and activities in one place.
* More partners means more choices for subscribing to customized
content from library service organizations.
* Deeper member profile with personalized fields allows you to choose
how to represent yourself to other WebJunction members. Plus, you control
how much of your WebJunction profile to share.
* Community ownership means you contribute too. The new platform makes
it easy for anyone across the community to add content in all kinds of
formats.
* Friendly Terms of Use now include Creative Commons licensing and
custom privacy options. When you sign in you'll be accepting our new Terms
(http://webjunction.org/terms). Please take some time to review them before
you get started.
In addition to the new WebJunction platform available to all users, Ohio has
joined WebJunction as a Community Partner. As a library staff member working
in Ohio, you're about to receive an enhanced version of the new site with
access to online courses sponsored by Ohio and custom content created just
for you. Now your work at WebJunction can help out library staff in Ohio
just as well as library staff from around the world.
The State Library will be messaging the new WebJunction Ohio site to
everyone in the Ohio library community at the end of August, but we?d like
to ask you to login to the new site in the next two weeks.
* Go to the new WebJunction Ohio (http://oh.webjunction.org).
* Login with your current username and password.
* After login, click on "Edit Account" to fill in the new profile and
select your privacy settings.
* If you have bookmarks, RSS feeds, or discussion watches already set
you can access these subscriptions, or set up new ones, in My WebJunction
(http://oh.webjunction.org/mywebjunction).
* After you take a look around, we'd love to hear from you about your
experiences in our new member center
(http://oh.webjunction.org/membercenter).
* Need help? Find help and support in the member center, or you can
always contact us (http://oh.webjunction.org/contact).
With so much excitement around the new WebJunction, we expect record visits
to our community. Should you experience delays on the new site, please check
back shortly. Your feedback will help us understand how things are going on
the new platform and also help us find and prioritize any bugs in the new
system. We want your suggestions on ways to improve and make WebJunction
more useful to its members. As always, WebJunction is a work in progress,
and we depend on your input to guide our overall development.
Many thanks for being a part of the WebJunction community. We look forward
to hearing from you!
The WebJunction Team
