I have been using the IE8 Beta.... as I usually make myself the guinea Pig for new stuff... I found that most of the stuff that does not work ie: forms on some web pages, pictures sometimes over text can be fixed by switching to compatibility mode. It is really just a click on an icon next to the refresh, stop buttons that were moved in IE 7 next to the address bar. It only shows up when a page has incompatibilities. It is not available when browsing any of the Microsoft sties or the initial google front end.
I have found that it appears on a google search results screen and on the subject of google I have found that the current release of IE8 Beta sometimes is slow to return results from google.

I'm with Mohamed on this one. When I installed IE8
beta here, I found that some of the statewide databases
didn't work properly. All of the vendors were advised
and most of them said they wouldn't fix anything on
their end till it was out of beta.
