[OPLINTECH] looking for a few hints on using OCR software

Hello colleagues,

We purchased a new scanner that came bundled with
ABBYY FineReader (R) 5.0 Sprint OCR software.

I've been trying to figure out a less labor-intensive way of
handling it than by manually comparing each blue-highlighted
section of text with the original document.

Can anyone direct me to a source of tips etc. to make my life a little 
easier?
