[OPLINTECH] Linux Firewall/VPN

I've always liked Shorewall for a firewall: http://www.shorewall.net/
It doesn't provide a web gui like Smoothwall I guess. It's just a tool for configuring the built in functions of the kernel itself so you aren't really using any additional software when it comes down to it.

Kyle,
Smoothwall linux <http://smoothwall.org> has those abilities. We have been using it for just the firewall (mostly). I have setup up the VPN for outside use and tested it. It works well.

I am looking for a VPN solution that I can run clients from windows machines and connect to a VPN. Cost is a key factor here so I am looking for some open source linux firewall/VPN installs. Plus as usual Linux distributions do not usually require the resources of other solutions. I really do not need the extra firewall application but need the VPN and they usually go hand in hand.. Is anyone out there using this type of configuration?
Thanks
Kyle
