I have a quote for Think Pads with an extended warrenty for $745....$633 for the laptops. My quantity is 80 is YMMV.

Jim,

I thought that it was acceptable to apply with the "type" of computer that you intend to purchase?  Meaning something like a "Dell D610 class notebook computer" should be acceptable.

BTW - Love the D610s but how do they hold up in terms of daily usage?

Also, curious what is MNJ referring to?

We are looking at the same situation here at Holmes.  We've had several discussions on the topic, including the possibility of using Netbooks and how to manage them as well.

Coshocton Public Library is participating in the Computer Center grant application, and would like to know what brand and model of laptop that you would recommend.  I currently have 7 year old Dell latitudes but I am not married to Dell.

Also, I would like to hear the good and bad in regards to allowing patrons to check out laptops.  Has it been successful or a nightmare?
