As I have heard rumored Win7 should be finalized once IE8 is finalized
Windows 7 should be ready for release.
Everything we have seen in testing has been great. Requires less memory,
very stable the nags are almost all gone.

Hi all,
If you're testing Win7, you're out of luck though. The beta of IE 8 on
Win7 (IMHO) is only fair. The IE 8 site says that there will be a final
IE8 on the RC of Win7, whenever that might come along.
BTW, Is there anyone using the Win7 Beta besides me? I personally am
impressed with it. And as in the past, MS has come out with the OS that
the previous version was touted to be. I was an NT5 beta user & (I hate
to admit this) ME beta user. Beta 2 of ME seemed mighty good (at that
time) but, MS ruined it by the time they RTMed it.
Anyway, W7 has been rock steady for me. No major driver problems. It
didn't like my video driver (NVidia GeForce FX 5200) but there is a
driver available through Windows update. W7 was supposed to support
Vista drivers but, they must have changed something at the kernel level.
Other than that, no problems at all with drivers. I've been using it
daily since it was released for testing. The only thing I haven't been
able to install is TLC's circ software but, I knew that wouldn't fly
because Vista cries about Oracle V9 not being compatible (it will still
install on Vista). W7 just refuses to install Oracle 9 - period. Also, I
had a few problems with Symantec installing (but that could have been
just my problem). ClamWin AV installed perfectly and runs great. W7
seems faster, file transfer times are noticeably quicker. Opening
Network, displays other hardware on the network much quicker than Vista.
The only thing I haven't gotten used to yet (& am unsure how I feel
about it) is libraries. I use home directories on the BDC for all of our
staff & mine can't be added to the library because it's not indexed
properly. Oh Well. I'll look into that sometime when I have nothing else
to do (yeah, like that time will ever come! Lol )
If your using it, your thoughts?
