[OPLINTECH] Emilys' Book Shelf: an online book club for kids

Westlake Porter Public Library has launched "Emily's Book Shelf," a place where kids in grades 3-8 can rate books, post book reviews and engage in discussion. Kids can sign up for accounts and keep lists of favorites. It is not limited to Westlake Porter patrons. Registration requires a valid email. All posts to the site made by members are approved by staff before publishing. http://www.westlakelibrary.org/emilysbookshelf Emily's Book Shelf is based on Drupal, currently version 5, but an upgrade to Drupal 6 is planned for this year. The site is named in memory of Emily Lewis, a WPPL patron and voracious reader who lost her fight against kidney cancer in August of 2009.
