[OPLINTECH] Receipt Printer frustrations with VMware View

Hello!

 

Just hoping someone out there has some experience utilizing USB receipt
printers via VMware View and Winterms.  We have Citizen CT-S3010s and
CT-S300s connected to Winterms via USB.  These have been reliable
printers for years for us, but we're just now moving into VMware-land.

 

We've tested using both Windows 7 and XP under View.  What we're running
into is a problem where the printers cease printing.  A restart of the
print spooler is necessary to get printing to continue.  It seems like
an incompatibility between the printers and VMware.  Changing from
Microsoft's drivers to Citizen's make no difference to the issue.

 

We have Okidata Microline 320 Turbo dot matrix printers elsewhere with
the same infrastructure and setup and do not have these problems.  

 

I know it's a long shot, but I was wondering if anyone else is using a
similar setup and has experienced something like this.  Additionally,
perhaps someone has had good experience with another brand of receipt
printer and VMware View.
