I believe Abiword will also support WordPerfect documents.  It is free 
like openoffice, loads faster than open office, and I sometimes think 
it's easier to use than open office or word, especially for simple 
things.  (it seems like the auto-complete features in OO Writer or Word 
get in the way more often than they help..)
