...with additional discounts available for multi-year agreements...
Discounts should increase with the number of years...up to five years, I think.

Fred,
You might want to clarify the price of annual renewals with the vendor for long term budget planning. We pay only about $4.00 for each workstation license when we renew annually. We find the expense minimal for the benefits that we get from Deep Freeze.

Fred
IMHO you should take a look at the software that works, fits into your local policies, and budget for it.
For example:
1. PWB (Public Web Browser) for catalogs
2. Deep Freeze for security
3. PCReservation or Cassie for public access
4. Anti-Virus/SPAM filter
5. Internet Filter
This gives you a package of software which creates a safe, secure and reliable public computer. Which equates to better “public service” and public service equates to funds in your budget.
While spending money may not always seem like the best choice, it’s often the most cost efficient verses creating and managing a shareware solution.
Again, just my opinion.

Subject: [OPLINTECH] Question about Deep Freeze Replacement
Good Morning,
I was wondering if anyone has been implementing something to replace the Deep Freeze Enterprise Console and licenses. I have contacted Deep Freeze and for 11 licenses and maintenance fees included every years it’s going to cost around $726.00. Anybody have any other solutions to this? I think it’s quite expensive to purchase this software for that price. What is everyone else using right now? Are you just paying the cost since we know deep freeze does work.
Thanks again,
