In 2010, the FCC made the part of spectrum formerly used for analog TV channels available for unlicensed public use. With the use of a database manager and a White Space radio, these channels can be used to access broadband Internet connectivity between a base station and a remote receiver. TV White Space technology can cover an expanse of about 2-10 miles in diameter and can penetrate areas where other signals cannot. In this webinar, you’ll learn the basics of TVWS, the opportunities it provides to today’s libraries and what it would take to use this technology at your library from Don Means, Coordinator of the Gigabit Libraries Network.
