I want to be sure that library IT folks got the call for proposals for RightClick 2015 presentations that OLC sent out a couple of weeks ago.
It's been a good while since there has been a statewide get-together of IT folks to share ideas, so OLC's Information Technology Division and OPLIN are hosting "RightClick 2015: The Library IT Idea Exchange" on November 5-6 at the Holiday Inn Columbus-Worthington. The evening of Thursday, Nov. 5 will be an opportunity to "break the ice" and get the discussion going before Friday's presentations. OPLIN staff will lead Thursday's social/sharing gathering, and we will also take this opportunity to have a belated celebration of OPLIN's 20th birthday. (OPLIN was officially created by the legislature and Governor on June 30, 1995.)
Now we need to have proposals for the presentations that will take place on Friday, Nov. 6. We invite you to participate in a showcase of "best practices and cool ideas" for library technology. We believe your work deserves recognition. All library IT people of any level of expertise are invited to share their unique solutions and practices with their colleagues from around the state at RightClick 2015.
Presentations should be short (20 minutes or less) and focused on your solution. Proposals should be brief (less than 250 words) and should state the effect you are hoping to achieve on your audience. Think of this as an opportunity to trade your tricks of the trade and stimulate discussion.
Use the link below to submit your idea and contact information for RightClick 2015.

More information about the event has been posted (and will continue to be updated) at http://www.olc.org/prof_dev_RightClick15.php.
Thanks!
