[OPLINTECH] cell phones

For many years we had library owned cell phones for our IT staff who had on call responsibilities for network administration and support. About two years ago those employees asked if they could just start using their personal cell phones for on call work so that they would not have to carry two phones with them, so now our IT staff use their own cell phones.

Hello Everyone,

Do your libraries participate in a cell phone plan and if so, do you have details and who is all included in it?  We currently do not and we don't want it to be considered a "fringe benefit" that we are taking advantage of.  In the various positions I have held in IT, I have always been provided a phone but that was never an option here and I am just looking at what other places have if anything.  Thank you for your time and input.
