OpenDNS.
Talk to Oplin I think it’s free, and it works. Requires no IT intervention other than unblock requests if approved. IE. We allow patrons to request via a web form to have sites unblocked on our end. Sometimes legit sites gets blocked and we whitelist them. But the OpenDNS community maintains the block lists. This works really well because we can now block PC’s on the WiFi as well by forcing all port 53 traffic over our DNS server. This way it doesn’t mater what you have you DNS set to on your local machine, our switch intercepts the request and forces it through OpenDNS. Now proxy info in browsers to update or anything.

Subject: [OPLINTECH] Internet Content Filter Evaluations
It's that time of year again. We are re-evaluating our content filter subscription. I have a question.
What are you using to filter internet?
What is your opinion of the application so far.
We are currently using Websense. We filter for 3 different rules (Teens, Children, and Adults) with the ability to bypass. It works really well but takes up a lot of IT resources and special network configurations are necessary.
Thanks,
Chris Krumnow
