Subject: Upcoming E-Rate Deadlines

Good Morning E-Rate Community,

Please be aware of upcoming E-Rate deadlines:


  *   October 28th -             Invoicing deadline for FY 2014 recurring services.  Keep in mind, you must file the Form 472 (BEAR) reimbursement form and the service provider must approve the amount listed by the deadline.   Requests to extend the invoicing deadline must be submitted on or before the October 28th deadline.



  *   October 29th - First Form 486 deadline for certifying the start of service (and CIPA compliance, if applicable) for funding requests approved for FY 2015 on or before July 1, 2015 (i.e., in Waves 1-6).  On a going forward basis, the Form 486 deadline is 120 days from the later of the FCDL approval date or the start of service date.

o   Remember, technology plans are no longer required for E-Rate.  However, the Form 486 still asks you to certify the existence of one.  The work around is to check Item 8, click on the pull-down, and choose "Other" located at the end of the list.  You will then receive a text box where you will enter "None".
