[OPLINTECH] Microsoft Nonprofit or Education?

Hi Larry,

For the libraries I manage, I've had to set them up on the Education plan. They are considered "school" libraries, though, affiliated with their local school districts.
The problem with the nonprofit plan was that they are 501c3-like organizations, not actual 501c3's, so they were rejected. It took a couple weeks for Microsoft to "accept" some of them for education. Others were accepted within a few days. Good luck!

Subject: [OPLINTECH] Microsoft Nonprofit or Education?

Hi all,

We've been using Office 365 for several years now under Academic/Education.

TechSoup now requires validation through Microsoft for Nonprofits. I received validation confirmation, but TechSoup says Microsoft may need to remove the Education tag from our account. I'm trying to get server licenses.

Has anyone encountered this or have any insight or suggestions? I wanted to check with the group before heading too far down a path.

Appreciate it. Thanks,
