We use device-based licenses for our patron PCs that have the Adobe Creative Cloud suite. When launching an Adobe application, patrons are prompted that they are using a shared device and that they need to sign in with their own (free) Adobe account to continue. We previously did use user-based licenses for these, but we did not have a way to limit the Adobe Cloud storage of that user which would then persist between sessions, exactly the issue you are describing.
We are not a 501(c)(3) organization. In order to get Adobe to consider us Academic, we ended up providing our “government affirmation letter” from the IRS. They did ask for a 501(c)(3) certificate, so I would think that would be enough. This was back in 2021. It started with a chat on Adobe’s website, and eventually I got a direct email address - pamathur at adobe.com<mailto:pamathur at adobe.com>. Since then, we have not had to have any interaction with Adobe directly as we do purchase our renewals (and additional licenses) through CDWG – these device-based licenses as well as some user-based licenses for staff. In particular, the Adobe SKU that we use for device-based licenses is 65297205BB02A12 (new) and 65297198BB02A12 (renewal).

Similar to Dave:
We lock the computers with Deep Freeze and use Shared Device licensing for the Creative Cloud computers.
We originally just had the Guest account turned on and required folks to store their work on a USB drive or just log in to their iCloud. The guest account iCloud combination let's them use the Mac and Creative Cloud but does not give them access to anything staff might be working on.
Adding Deep Freeze so it is simpler for everyone.

Good morning everyone,
I’m emailing you all with an issue we are having with Adobe Creative Cloud on a Mac for public use and hoping someone could provide a solution.
We currently use regular Creative Cloud accounts and we were going to use one of them for the Mac.
The issue we found that once we signed into Creative Cloud, the public user would be able to see all the back end information with the account like payment and invoices. It also looks like they can also start a subscription to Adobe Stock or purchase individual Adobe Stock items.
Has anyone else experienced this issue and what did you do to resolve it?
I appreciate any info.
