Best wishes, Christine -- Christine Morris (she/her) Digital Resources Manager Ohio Public Library Information Network christine at oplin.ohio.gov 614-728-5252 (OPLIN Support) 614-728-0227 (direct) ---------- Forwarded message --------- From: Lorrie Germann Date: Wed, Jun 4, 2025 at 1:28?PM Subject: FY2025 E-Rate Funding Approval Update Good afternoon E-Rate Community, Congratulations to the Ohio schools and libraries who have received a FY2025 Funding Commitment Decision Letter (FCDL). To date, USAC has released six funding waves, with Ohio applicants receiving funding approvals totaling $46,543,818.06, including both Category 1 and Category 2 requests. When USAC releases an FCDL, the Form 471 contact and EPC Account Administrator (AA) will receive an email with a .pdf of the letter attached. Please review the FCDL carefully to make sure you agree with USAC?s decision. If all looks good, the next step is to file the Form 486 and contact your vendors to request discounted billing if you so desire. Here?s a breakdown of the amount funded per wave: *E-Rate FY2025 Filing * *Information for Ohio * *Total Funding Amount Requested* *$95,941,340 * * Funding Wave * *Amount Funded To Date (6/4/2025) Per Wave* 1 $39,491,459.95 2 $282,560.40 3 $1,694,528.43 4 $1,369,057.12 5 $1,614,834.43 6 $2,091,377.73 *Grand Total* *$46,543,818.06* I?ve added an "*FCDL User-Guide*", available at: https://www.ohio-k12.help/e-rate-support/resource-library/, to help you understand what?s included in the letter. You will also find a spreadsheet named ?*FY2025 FCDLs Issued*? listing all applicants who have been funded to date. *If you were NOT included in these waves, do not worry! It just means that your application hasn't yet been reviewed/decided.* Be looking for an email for notification that your PIA questions are available in EPC. A funding wave will be released each week until all applications have been decided, typically each Thursday. If your application is pending in PIA review and your last communication with PIA was in February or March, please let me know. *A few notes: * If you file the 486 before July 31, check the Early Filing box on the form. Also, please be careful to check the accurate CIPA certifications on the final page (don?t get click happy!). A Form 486 Filing Guide is available at https://www.ohio-k12.help/e-rate-support/resource-library/ . -- If your FRN was modified or denied, the last page of your FCDL will explain why the funding request was modified. If you do not agree with the modification or the denial, please consider submitting an appeal to USAC within 60 days of the FCDL date. If you?re unsure whether you should appeal, please let me know, and I can provide guidance. -- The FCDLs are attached to the award e-mail notice and are in as .pdf format. All EPC users in the organization?s EPC account can download a copy on their EPC Landing Page under Notifications. -- If you were funded for Category 2 internal connections equipment and were waiting for the FCDL to start the purchasing process, you can do that now if you choose. You do not have to wait until July 1st, the formal start of the funding year. Just keep in mind that if you purchase before the funding year starts, your vendor may hesitate to give discounted billing since July 1st is the earliest they can file to request reimbursement from USAC. If you have questions or need additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
