American-made devices with good replacement parts support; they work with the CBTS VoIP system and feature a built-in call timer to cut people off after our configured 3 minutes.

We would like to provide a courtesy phone for patrons at the front desk, to make brief calls like calling for a ride. Unfortunately, our phone system can’t limit the length of calls except as a global setting.



Could you help me with a couple of questions?

  1.  Does your library have a phone like this for patrons? If so, what are the limits on it and are you happy with how it works?
  2.  Do you know of a device (phone) that we could plug into our network or a phone line that would do what we want?
