***This information does NOT pertain to those sites using Visual Story
Blocks or the (now discontinued) older blog-type layout for their
homepages.***

As many of you are already aware, OPLIN is always working to make its
resources and the Website Kits as accessible as possible for those who have
some type of disability. In pursuit of this goal, we will be implementing
two (2) changes:

   1. *The removal of the link from the standard story block image.* These
will no longer be clickable. That's because the story title and the story
image are immediately adjacent, creating URLs that go to the same location
right next to each other. When adjacent links go to the same location, this
results in additional navigation and repetition for keyboard and screen
reader users.. The title and the link under the story will still be
   clickable.
   2. *Changing the "Learn more" link to the same as the title text.* For
those using assistive technology, the words "Learn more" do not describe
the purpose of the link. By changing the text to replicate the story title,
this problem is alleviated for them.

These changes will implemented over the next month or so. Please let me
know if you have any questions. Thank you,

Laura
