[oplinwebkits] If your library is switching from WhoFi to LocalHop (or already has)...

Hey folks,

We're currently scheduling libraries for switchovers beginning in August
(although there is a small number that already completed this, and about
half of this email applies to them as well). To do a switchover, we need*
two things* from you. You generate both items in your LocalHop super admin
interface. Even if your library has already switched over, we will still
need the second item from you!

*1. The RSS feed URL *(Many of you have already sent this to me!)
We need the URL of your LocalHop calendar's RSS feed. You can generate
this in your LocalHop administrative interface (see image below).

Please *do not *pick any event categories or age groups--just leave those
blank, as shown. If your library has multiple locations, be sure those
*are* checked.
When you complete this, you should have a URL for the RSS feed. Please send
that to me.

*2. The full calendar embed code *(We need this from everyone, even if your
switchover is complete!)
*From LocalHop:*
*Anyone with super admin access should be able to generate snippets
<https://support.getlocalhop.com/localhop_kb/calendars-guide>. There will
be a snippet section on their left side navigation, and they'll be able to
add different snippets based on if they have multiple branches or they are
just not. Every account will see the option to add a My Calendar and a
Community Calendar. Those with multiple branches will see a third option
for adding a District Calendar
<https://support.getlocalhop.com/localhop_kb/district-calendars>. *

   - *A My Calendar will show only the events for that library or that
   specific branch.*
   - *A District Calendar will allow them the option to pull in all or a
combination of some of their branch locations.*
   - *A Community Calendar will allow them to add other organizations
within the area outside of the library to contribute to a shared calendar.*

*I imagine the Community Calendar will not be utilized as much, at least
initially, but I wanted to provide some context about what it is. So each
library will just need to click to add the calendar that they're interested
in, and then they'll have a few options in the layout
<https://support.getlocalhop.com/localhop_kb/calendar-types> and filters
that they want to provide. *

Please don't hesitate to reach out to me directly with any questions. Thank
you,

Laura
