[Seo-circ] Reminder: DISPLAY Users

Hello, everyone-



As the winter holidays approach, it is a good time to remind everyone about DISPLAY users. According to the Principles of Cooperation<https://servingeveryohioan.org/governance/PrinciplesofCooperationupdated8-8-2023.pdf>:

  *   These items can only be checked out for one loan period of 28-days.
  *   Display material is to be checked out to the XYZDISPLAY account (your library code + DISPLAY). Items will loan for 28-days and show the due date. The director's email address has been entered on all DISPLAY user accounts to receive an email when those items are overdue and need returned. [Please have a staff member locate the items from the overdue list and return them to the lending library.]
  *   DISPLAY materials are not eligible for auto-renewal [nor should the due date be changed manually].
  *   Be mindful not  to request member libraries materials for 'seasonal' or 'hot program topics' etc. when the season or topic is also popular for the owning libraries displays or programs.

 If your library uses other accounts for display purposes (such as book bins, area-specific displays, etc.) that do not have the DISPLAY profile (Distinct Borrower or Adult), please contact SEO. The ILS Team can update the profile to DISPLAY to adhere to the Principles of Cooperation.
