When an email bounces, a note will be added to the patron's account. We're making improvements to how we manage email addresses that have bounced or been marked as undeliverable. Starting in January, our system will automatically update patron accounts when an email address is reported as invalid weekly on Tuesdays. This includes: * Removing the problematic email address from the account * Updating notification preferences to ensure continued communication * Adding a note to the account with details about the change We're also working on knowledge base articles to guide library staff on how to handle different types of email bounce reasons. To support this transition, we'll be offering Open Office Hours on Wednesday, January 7 at 2:00 PM. This is a great opportunity to ask questions, learn more about the process, and connect with our team. This new process replaces the monthly bounced email list previously sent by Patron Point and will help streamline communication and improve service.
