Therefore, under the direction of the State Library of Ohio, the Serving Every Ohioan (SEO) Service Center will not reopen until at least May 4, 2020. During this time, all SEO and State Library staff will continue to telework from home.

Subject: SEO Support hours March 16 - April 6; Telework connection information for remote library staff; library closing information

Hi everyone,

In support of the directive by Governor DeWine that each State department consider allowing employees to work remotely if possible SEO staff are being directed to telework from home. Staff will be assigned on a rotating schedule to report to the SEO facility to take care of in-office required tasks and support desk responsibilities. We have the systems in place to allows staff to perform normal support desk functions remotely. Please continue to create tickets and call as needed. I have included our updated support desk hours below. The plan is to restore normal hours of operation on April 6th.

SEO Hours of operation 3/16/2020 – 4/5/2020:

  *   Monday – Friday 8 am to 5 pm
  *   Saturday and Sunday Closed – For any system issue outside of normal business, call the SEO number, and choose the option for the on-call manager.

If your library is going to be closed:

  *   Please contact SEO to let us know your library is going to be closed and the dates of the closure.
  *   We will enter your closed dates to your calendar. This will prevent items from going to your On-shelf list.
  *   We can change the due dates on items due during your closed period. We will need to know the new due date you want on the items.
  *   Please fill out the Statewide Delivery Customer Service form<https://library.ohio.gov/services-for-libraries/statewide-delivery/statewide-delivery-customer-service/> to let them know how long you are going to be closed. Or contact Jamie Pardee at jpardee at library.ohio.gov<mailto:jpardee at library.ohio.gov> or call her at 614-644-6879 if you wish to cease statewide delivery to one or more of your locations due to your closure.
