[SEO-TECH] Hoopla ILS Authentication Form Update

Happy Friday Everyone,

SEO IT staff have received several calls and tickets regarding an updated Hoopla ILS Authentication form from Midwest Tapes.

Here is the information that SEO has been sharing in regards to the form:


  *   ILS Provider:SirsiDynix
  *   ILS Product: Symphony
  *   Protocol: SIP2
  *   Server Address: 206.187.16.116
  *   Port (PIN enabled): 6016
  *   Server Username: SIPCHK16
  *   Password: SIPCHK16
  *   Port Code: not applicable

Some Hoopla customers do not require a PIN for access.  The port and server username/password changes in this case:


  *   Port (PIN disabled): 6035
  *   Server Username: SIPCHK35
  *   Password: SIPCHK35

Question 2 from the form:
When should patrons NOT have access?
Block Value:  The SIP2 block code for patron status is AF

Since all our libraries have a unique barcode prefix, there shouldn't be any other information needed to ensure your Hoopla account will not be used by another library.

We also have their IP whitelisted to ensure traffic is permitted from Hoopla/Midwest Tape.
