[SEO-TECH] Printer Vulnerabilities being exploited

This is just an FYI that a flaw in Microsoft printer service (spooler) is being actively exploited.

SEO is not giving any formal recommendations, just wanting to raise your awareness on this issue

Microsoft does not yet have a patch to fix this problem.

This means that until a patch is released,  systems are vulnerable.

The only work around at this time is to turn off the print spooler service.

To turn off the print spooler service means no printing.

This is the Microsoft recommended action if you have domain controller servers in your environment or servers in general.

For computers/workstations that are needed to service the public this is not easy to do without a major disruption to service.

This decision should be based on your estimate of the risk and how likely it could be exploited at your location.

As soon as a patch is released by Microsoft, it should be high priority to make sure they are applied to workstations and servers

Be aware if any strange behavior occurs on your network
