[SEO-TECH] Phishing Attacks on email accounts

We have reports of hacking attempts on our @seolibraries.org email accounts.

These are known as Phishing attacks or Spear Phishing when directed toward a specific person or group of people in a company.

So if you see this type of email, do not open the attachment or click on any hyper-links within the body of the email.

Ionos (the email hosting provider) will not ask you verify your account.

If you did happen to open the document or click on the hyperlinks, please let your IT department know.

If in doubt about your email account security, it is always good to change your email password.
