[SEO-Updates] ILL Check Out and Send Procedure

Hello everyone,

I wanted to share the procedure for Inter Library Loan items that need to be sent to libraries that are NOT part of the SEO Consortium.


Items requested by NON-Consortium libraries need to be checked out to the borrowing library BEFORE you send the item. Some examples are the Archbold Community Library, Athens P. L., Paulding Co.




We ask that you do this to improve shipping time and unnecessary material handling, we are encouraging all SEO members to checkout the item & send directly to these SEO ILL libraries.  We are aware that many SEO member libraries are already doing this.

You can see that the Transit to: library is ILLCKOSEND instead of SEO. We have added User ID: to all transit receipts to make it seamless as possible for libraries to checkout the item to the ILL library.  This change will also help avoid selecting the wrong ILL library as there are some with the same name but in a different state.



When receipts display SEO as the Transit to library, please continue to send these items to the SEO Library Center. Examples would be Noble Correctional Institution, Allen Correctional Institution, or Marion Correctional.
