Email Security:   Have you received one of these in your email account recently?  These are Hacker Emails!

Numerous Library members who use email @seolibraries.org  have reported these types of hacker emails recently

Other email accounts such as Gmail, Hotmail, Outlook, have also seen an increase in these Phishing attacks

What if you clicked the malicious hyper active link?


  1.  Close your browser completely - all tabs



  1.  Open a new browser and log into your email on the web and change the password. We recommend at least 12 characters - Check your password strength here:  https://bitwarden.com/password-strength/



  1.  The bitwarden tool will tell you how long it would take a hacker to crack your password.  Anything less than 1 year should NOT be used.



  1.  Scan your computer with an antivirus program
     *   Here is a free computer scan if you have no antivirus  https://www.trendmicro.com/en_il/forHome/products/housecall.html



  1.  On all these hacker email examples notice the "From email address"   They are not from the real companies themselves



  1.  Please call if you have any questions or concerns
