[SEO-Updates] Alert: Phishing Emails Targeting SEO Library Accounts

[dwinland at library.ohio.gov]

We have been alerted to a phishing campaign targeting email accounts at seolibraries.org.

These emails look very convincing and appear to come from SEO or our email provider IONOS. In reality, they are fraudulent.

The message contains a link asking you to "verify" your account. If you click this link, it will try to take control of your browser. If you enter your password on the fake verification page, the attacker will gain access to your account.

If you recognized the email as suspicious and did not click the link - great job!

These messages are designed to look legitimate and can fool even careful users.

If you clicked the link and entered your password:

  1.  Change your email password immediately.
  2.  If you are unable to change your password, contact SEO right away so we can reset it for you.
