Digital Image Cataloger Position ? Temporary Contract 

The Nationwide Insurance Library and Archives is seeking a consulting 
Digital Image Cataloger or a consulting Archivist with experience handling 
and cataloging scanned historic images to fill a temporary contract 
position. The position involves creating original File Maker Pro catalog 
records for 15,000 ? 20,000 digital images scanned from prints and 
negatives that span most of the 20th century. The digital images will be 
uploaded to a web-based digital asset management system. The successful 
candidate in the Central Ohio area may be able to work from home with a 
broadband Internet connection. The position is expected to last 8 -- 12 
months. $20/hour minimum. 

Qualifications and Experience: 
·        Master?s degree in History, Library and Information Sciences, or 
a related field with appropriate work experience. 
·        A minimum of one (1) year experience working with historic visual 
media. 
·        A minimum of one (1) year cataloging artifacts and/or visual 
media. 
·        Experience using Filemaker Pro database software, Adobe Photoshop 
and digital asset management systems are preferred. 
·        Experience using Library of Congress Graphic Materials Subjects, 
DACS, and Dublin Core are preferred. Successful candidate must be able to 
work independently with minimal direction, and live in Central Ohio.
