National Parks Received 330 Million Visits in 2017

The National Park Service (NPS) has released visitation data for 2017, which shows that 330 million recreation visits were made to NPS sites, including memorials, battlefields, and other historic sites. These numbers are encouraging, but heavy usage also contributes to the maintenance backlog at NPS, which needs to be addressed in the agency's funding.
