Coaching for Results

5/14/2004

9:30 AM to 3:30 PM
MOLO Regional Library System Training Center

Scheduled Speaker: Robert L. McElwee, TFM Services, SPHR

Registration is limited to 40

The role of management in today's organization has changed.
Increasingly, managers are asked to serve as teachers, guides, mentors,
and coaches. In fact, increasing customer demands, fewer people, and
smaller budgets are prompting organizations to expand the role coaching
plays in producing results. Simply defined, coaching involves helping
others to succeed; so defined, it is a role anyone with the right skills
can play. In this session participants will learn what's involved in
coaching others, identify areas of strength and opportunities for
improvement, and practice their coaching skills.

Building Personal Influence

6/4/2004

9:30 AM to 3:30 PM
MOLO Regional Library System Training Center

Scheduled Speaker: Robert L. McElwee, TFM Services, SPHR

Registration is limited to 40

In today's smaller, flatter, constantly-changing, resource-limited, and
increasingly cross-functional workplaces, positional authority or
sanction is no longer enough to get things done. Interpersonal influence
is required. Though influence skills are basic and universal, there are
specific strategies and tools that if used effectively can enhance
personal influence with others. In this session participants will
examine specific influence strategies, identify their own, and develop
action plans for improving their personal influence efforts.
