POSITION:  Director

LIBRARY/ORGANIZATION:  Germantown Public Library

CITY:  Germantown,  OH

SALARY:  Commensurate with experience

REQUIREMENTS:  The Germantown Public Library is seeking a well 
qualified, energetic director.  Germantown is located in southwest Ohio, 
approximately 15 miles southwest of  Dayton and 40 miles north of 
Cincinnati.  The library serves a school district community of 
approximately 20,000.  The facility is a 14,000 square foot building 
erected in 1983.  Staff includes 10 full-time and 7 part-time 
employees.  The annual operating budget is approximately $900,000.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES:  Collection development, including a local history 
collection; program development; staff management; overseeing building 
maintenance; community relations.

REQUIREMENTS:  MLS from an ALA accredited institution and a minimum of 5 
years professional administrative experience, preferably in a public 
library.  Knowledge of library automation mandatory.

BENEFITS:  Retirement (OPERS); single coverage medical, dental, and life 
insurance fully paid; 11 paid holidays; 4 weeks vacation; 15 sick days 
per year.
