*Time:* 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

*Description:*
Realizing that it is not possible for any library to acquire all

examined it's service priority and developed selection and collection
development policies and standards to meet community needs. This
workshop will include such topics as materials selection - just in case
or just in time; the advantages and disadvantages of centralized vs
decentralized selection/collection development; tools developed for
streamling selection; cost saving measures; and the role of the
interlibrary loan and self-service.
