Readers' Advisory 101 covers the tools and strategies needed to conduct
an effective readers' advisory reference interview and examine the
reading needs of library customers. Participants in this training will
discuss the elements, theories and related sources behind the readers'
advisory process. Attendees will also develop an understanding of key
characteristics of quality readers' advisory services and identify noted
electronic resources to further assist customers. Emphasis will focus on
building a knowledge of fiction versus traditional source training
activities.=20
