Spaces are still available for the May 24th appearance of ALA 
President-elect Carol Brey-Casiano at the Academic Library Association of 
Ohio's Support Staff Interest Group (ALAO-SSIG) Spring Workshop:  "ALA ... 
Support Staff ... the Here & the Now."  ALAO-SSIG extends an invitation to 
support staff members and librarians of all types of libraries to take 
advantage of this unique opportunity to hear from and interact with Ms. 
Brey-Casiano in a small setting in Ohio.

When:  Monday, May 24, 2004, from 9:00am to 3:00pm

Where:  Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, OH (just north of Columbus)

Workshop Description:
Ms. Brey-Casiano, Director of the El Paso (TX) Public Library, will address 
ALA and its relation to support staff members, support staff issues and 
initiatives in general, the issue of pay equity for support staff and 
librarians, and her agenda as ALA president over the course of her keynote 
address and a question and answer period.  More information on Ms.

There will also be three afternoon breakout sessions following lunch: (1)

Registration:
The registration fee is $40 and includes lunch and a continental 
breakfast.  Registration materials and instructions are available on the

registration deadline is May 1, 2004.
