The Essentials of Project Management

3/9/2004

8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
MOLO Regional Library System Training Center - Newcomerstown, OH

Scheduled Speaker: Bob Jewell, OMEGA Leadership Group

Registration is limited to 25

Project Management is being called the "skill-set for the new
millennium" and "the central task of managers in the 21st century
workplace". In a recent survey of more than 500 organizations in which
respondents were asked to identify the skills that are needed to be
successful in today's demanding and competitive business environment -
78% identified managing projects as one of the top five skills. Today's
demanding environment of fast change, tighter deadlines and smaller
budgets has placed a new emphasis on project management as a reliable
process for organizing and getting work accomplished in a manner that
insures the unique needs of customers are met, while valuable resources
(money, time, and people) are efficiently utilized. Whether the project
is simple or complex - making things happen, getting results, dealing
effectively with change, maximizing resources, and meeting deadlines are
all the result of good project management.=20
