Good Morning:
A few years ago we started purchasing mulitmedia cd-roms to =
circulate to our patrons. When our consortium began resource sharing we =
sent them out for loan and when the M.O.R.E. project began we continued =
sharing.
I am starting to have problems with the cd-roms coming back =
scratched so badly we have to withdraw them and some are coming back =
cracked. Along with the damage our own patrons can do on a regular basis =
the loss is starting to become painful, especially in a materials budget =
crunch.
I am curious how many libraries are still purchasing multimedia to =
circulate? If you have stopped purchasing multimedia to circulate please =
share your reasons.Does anyone have any tips on minimizing damage? =
