Position: Youth Services Coordinator
Library: Way Public Library
City: Perrysburg, Ohio
Salary Range: $35,000 to $40,000
General Information:
Due to retirement Way Public Library, Perrysburg, Ohio, is seeking a full
time Youth Services Coordinator. This busy library serves a population of
approximately 28,000 and is housed in a recently renovated building that is
equipped with state of the art technology and offers a full array of
services. The library is a member of the SEO Consortium.
The Youth Service Coordinator position includes serving children from birth
through age 14 along with their parents and caregivers and the direct
supervision of one full time and one part time librarian.
Requirements: Master’s Degree from an ALA accredited library school or
bachelor’s degree with significant library experience. Working knowledge of
Windows based computer applications.
Job Responsibilities: The Youth Services Coordinator is responsible for the
supervision and operation of the Youth Services Department of the Library.
Under the direct supervision of the Director, the coordinator will be
responsible for storytimes and other programs geared to children and young
adults, materials selection and collection maintenance, reference, community
outreach, and reader’s advisory. The development of and implementation of a
full summer reading program is included.
Evening and weekend hours are part of the regular schedule. The position
will include full benefits.
