POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Library Director
Kaubisch Memorial Public Library
Fostoria, Ohio
The Kaubisch Memorial Public Library is located in a rural community an
hour south of Toledo. It is a fiscally sound library with strong
community support. KMPL has a 2004 operating budget of $850,000, annual
circulation of 156,000 items, patron base of 12,400, and a team of 17
dedicated staff committed to providing excellent service.
This position requires an ALA accredited MLS/MLIS degree. The KMPL
Board of Trustees prefers a candidate who can demonstrate seven years
progressive experience in professional library management and
administrative positions.
The successful candidate will demonstrate vision, leadership, excellent
people skills, the ability to work respectfully with the Board of
Trustees as well as staff and patrons, dedication to customer service,
and an understanding of Ohio public library finance.
Excellent benefits, including paid individual health insurance. Salary
range: $50,000 - $60,000, dependent upon qualifications and experience.
