      Description

Would you like to make your Web site interactive? Do you want to make 
your site more accessible to visitors? Would you like for visitors to be 
able to customize their experience at your Web site? Then you need to 
learn about putting databases on the Web.

In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn about the tools and 
concepts of making databases available via the Web. We will create 
databases in both Microsoft Access and MySQL and will then use scripting 
languages such as ASP and PHP to link that information to a Web site.

The workshop will cover:
- Creating databases in Microsoft Access & MySQL
- Using Web-scripting languages such as ASP and PHP
- Tying it all together to create dynamic, database-driven Web sites


      Meal

No meal is provided with this event.


      Audience

Participants should have a basic knowledge of Web design including 
directly editing HTML. Knowledge of programming languages and database 
management software may be helpful but not required.
