[OPLINLIST] [morelist] New Name for MORE

I have to say that I agree 100 % with Miss Paul,  just the mention in my
library about a changing the name of MORE, caused a bit of havic and stress
with my staff and patron's.  Our patrons' have come to know MORE as a way to
get items that we don't necessarily have at our library or consortium, and
they like that!  And in changing the name, will only cause more confusion.
The negative opinion's that we see here and at other local libraries from
staff not usually patrons isn't because of the name, but the system not
always working like it should.  Other than that we LOVE MORE, our patrons
LOVE MORE and that is actually the reason why we are here in business, to
make available items and information to our patrons that we may not have
access to in our library/consortium or area; without out them having to
travel some distance to other libraries or information resources.  Without
the MORE logo and name on my website and Pac, it would only cause more work
for my staff in trying to explain the reason for a name change.  Cause
patrons see name change and then assumes that with name change the process
and steps of using MORE have also changed, even if it hasn't!  Patrons' as
well as most do not like change, even if its just a simple name!  Especially
if it works for them and they are able to get what they are looking for!

I totally disagree that the name change is necessary or even a good 
idea. I think this is only going to confuse the patrons.  I also 
think that this is a decision that ought to be on the OPLIN 
list.  Not every person dealing with MORE is on the MORE list.

Please rethink this decision.

The negativity for this product is fromthe staff.  I too have been 
frustrated many times with MORE, but the patrons of my libraries love it.

Having a  MORE link in all of our catalog webpages has opened a whole 
new world for them.

I truly think that changing the name from MORE to something else will 
cause more patron confusion.  Patrons don't seem to really care what 
software is behind the name, they just want to locate new items that 
they can't find in their local libraries.

Please rethink the idea of changing the name of MORE.  We are here to 
serve the needs of the patrons in the state of Ohio.
